Get in touch with Schools.ink.
Schools.ink is a small, independently run directory. Every message goes to a person who works on the site, not a ticket queue. Whether you have spotted an error in a school profile, represent a school, or just want to tell us something is broken, we would like to hear from you.

Data corrections
A figure on a school profile looks wrong, out of date, or does not match the official record. This is the most common reason people write to us, and the one we act on fastest.

Email about thisCorrections
Reporting an error in a school profile
Corrections are much quicker to action when the message contains enough detail to verify the change.
What to include in your message
- The full URL of the page you are writing about.
- The exact field that is wrong — for example enrolment, ICSEA, year range, sector, staff numbers or campus location.
- The value currently shown on the page, and the value you believe is correct.
- A source for the correct value where you have one, such as an official school page, a department listing or a published dataset.
Schools.ink republishes structured data from official releases rather than collecting it directly, so some corrections have to be fixed at the source before they can flow through to this site. Where that is the case, we will tell you which body publishes the field and, where we can, note the discrepancy on our side in the meantime.
Response times
We aim to acknowledge email within two to three business days. Privacy, safety and removal requests are treated as priority and are looked at ahead of general feedback.
How we handle your message
Your email address and message are used only to deal with your enquiry. We do not add correspondents to mailing lists or pass details to third parties. See our privacy policy for the detail.
Before you write
Common questions
A few questions come up often enough to answer here.
Can you add a school that is missing?
Yes, but tell us the school name, suburb and state. Missing campuses are usually schools that were not in the source release, recently opened, or recorded under a different official name. We will check the dataset and follow up.
Where does the data on this site come from?
School profiles are built from publicly released Australian school profile and school location datasets, attributed under CC BY 4.0. Our about page explains the sourcing and what each field means.
Why does a field say 'Not available'?
Because the value was not reported in the source dataset. We deliberately show 'Not available' instead of a zero, so a missing figure is never mistaken for a real one.
Can I use figures from this site in my own work?
The underlying data is openly licensed, so yes, with attribution to the original publisher. Get in touch if you need detail on sourcing or methodology for a report or article.
Still not sure who to write to?
Send it to contact@schools.ink anyway. One inbox receives everything and we will point you in the right direction.
